“The place God calls you to is the place
where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”
― Frederick Buechner
I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Seminary’s Graduate School of Psychology in 2004. My training and work has included counseling centers at three universities: University of Oregon, Northwest Christian University, and Oregon State University. More recently I was an Assistant Professor and the Director of Clinical Training at George Fox University’s PsyD program.
In tandem with the PhD, I completed an MA in Theology. Psychotherapy is a space for finding relief from pain and suffering. It can be for deepened personal understanding. It transforms. For some, religion and spirituality are important resources for the journey. If this is the case for you then I am prepared and ready for this work as well.
I am a lifelong learner with longstanding interests in groups, diversity, Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, and Mindfulness based approaches in therapy. I completed Oregon Psychoanalytic Center’s Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program in 2020 and am currently a psychoanalytic candidate with The Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California (PINC).
